It's another Thursday!
Am I the only one who thinks Thursdays come by so fast?
During this past week
all I can think about is
September 11th.
All the
emotions
loss
fear
devastation
heartache
and
the courage of the passangers on the planes
all the firemen
and
strangers
that stood up for each others lives.
It is a day that none of us will ever be able to erase from our memories.
It is a day that we will always remember exactly what we were doing
in that moment
that we watched the news on TV.
Images that we wish we could erase from our memories.
I don't think that any of us can ever fully express our pain that we felt
on that September day.
And
now with it being 10yrs later
how much has changed?
Our military is still fighting the same fight.
Lives are still being lost
and
families are still being affected.
and
families are still being affected.

ReplyDeleteI also went with a 9-11 theme. Mine is a bit different- but it has been thrown in my face so much this week it's all I could think about!

ReplyDeleteSuch a tearjerker! I tried to write a 9-11 post last year and I don't think I ever finished/published it......so hard to express those feelings. Perhaps I can complete it by this weekend, but I know it will fall so far short of the awe, gratitude, and respect I have for all of the first responders who willingly face danger EVERY DAY to keep us all safe.
